Power inverters are electrical devices capable of converting direct current into alternating current. The alternating current powers the place or any household according to the needed frequency or voltage. This is done by adding transformers or appropriate switching devices in the circuit. Usually, solid state power inverters are used to convert and supply power from high voltage direct current supply. Power inverters are needed when solar panels attached to solar tubewell, for instance, are producing direct current. The main purpose of power inverters is to provide needed voltage so that the appliances can operate on alternating current for which they are designed.
